I'm a photographer working with analog black-and-white film across Southeast Asia. I develop the rolls myself, in my kitchen sink in Hanoi. I scan them by hand. I edit lightly, but I leave the dust and scratches — they're evidence of the process and of the moment that actually happened. My ongoing project, "The Sign Said," is a series of photographs where the words in the frame — signs, posters, handwritten notes — become part of what the photograph is saying. The first frame of the series will be released as an open edition on Manifold in June 2026.
